Over the last X number of years, we have been finding ways to digitize Blunt fanzine. This process would not have been possible without the help of Vince Cabrera – thank you Vince.

In these digital archives, you will be able to access most of the material from Issue 1 to Issue 21. This has taken a considerable amount of time to locate and work on. As from some of my posts over the last few years, I’d believed that many of the issues were nowhere to be found. However. after digging into the family garage, I managed to find some of them. Still some issues are missing, such as Issue 5 (July 1988), Issue 7 (May 1989), there is only half of Issue 10 (1990), while we also don’t have Issue 13 (1991). If you’re able to help us, please let us know via messaging us on the messenger app of this page.

The remaining holes are those that constitute our audio project. We have recently accessed the ‘Voices From The Cellar’ (May 1989) compilation, however we are missing ‘Plucked From The Bowels of Mediocrity’ (October 1990) and the vinyl ’12 Solid Gold Inner City Hits’ (1991). Of course we need to discuss permission etc but the goal is to digitize these as well.

Again, any help is much appreciated from our end. For now, please enjoy the zine material and we will keep you posted on future projects.

Aside from Vince’s help, I’d like to thank Jonny Turcinkis, plus other friends and contributors. So many have helped out in various ways, via encouragement, support, accessing old issues and keeping it real. You the reader too!!! I look back at these issues with fond memories and it really was what it was; if that makes any sense. Of course, a zine is very different to a street magazine (that is more like a business and has advertorials). A zine relies on your support.

All along, our intent was to have that freedom one gets from doing it yourself.

To this day, I still cannot thank you all enough and hope that you enjoy reading and catching up/exploring these old memories. Aside from the layout and editorial assistance, it would never have happened without the help of the bands, the poets, the writers, etc.
