Where are they now?
ALIEN CHRIST
The band were together from 1998 to 2003 and in my mind were one of the best things around. Stu Olsen and Jasmine Guffond were a mean rhythm section to Matt Bright's highly understated guitar work - after all Matt was the keyboard player for Distant Locust so guitar work was pretty new to him. Stu later went on to play guitar in Stone Cold Fox who sadly haven't played for some time
Jasmine, on the other hand played with Torben Tilly (NZ) in Minit, before relocating and branching out to Germany, living and playing Berlin for the greater part of the last two decades.
Matthew pursued his love for electronics and worked with a whole range of people, collaborating with Shane Fahey (Makers of the Dead Travel Fast). He also set up Galaxy Fuzz Band.
The band's captivating vocalist Kym Blattner did record with Rand and Holland in 2004 on the bands album 'Tomorrow Will Be Like Today'
CYNOSURE
An all girl band and undeniably fans of bands like L7, Bikini Kill and the like. Locally they had a bit of Matrimony and Nitocris about them. I had the pleasure of being in both The Bacchantes and also Beijing Bikini with their drummer Maria Ballesteros. I am not sure what came of the other band members. Another case of a band being around for a good time not a long time!!
VOODOO GLOW SKULLS
By 2021 this Californian ska punk band had a new vocalist Efrem Schulz. The band released "Livin' the Apocalypse" and were working on more new material, as well as touring frequently. In September 2024, Efrem Schulz announced he was no longer a member of the band via his personal Instagram page. On September 30 in the same year, Eddie and Jorge Casillas announced that Frank the original vocalist had rejoined the band and would join them for their October 5 performance at the Regent Theater in Los Angeles.
MAGIC LUNCHBOX
Easily one of Sydney's most entertaining and live acts

Lunchbox recorded a few albums before calling it a day. The odd reunion pops up with a song or two at a party, however best you go and see their newest outfit which is called Distant Nephew, featuring Danny Nightime, Rob Child and also Beano McVean
TUG DUMBLY
Tug continues to write prolifically and also do countless poetry/stand up evenings at venues in his hood and beyond. Tug also strums a pretty neat chord as well and occasionally you'll see him armed with his guitar at a MoshPit Open Mic night. Take a look at his amazing catalogue of work
